Brian Gruis, President

Brian Gruis is a dynamic and innovative leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and an established ability to build, manage, and sell premium properties. He has a proven track record of creating successful developments, coupled with cultivating valuable relationships with business leaders at local, regional, and national levels.

Before starting Envision Companies, Brian invested over ten years of experience in development and construction as president and co-owner of Signature Homes and Properties in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The company became the largest builder in the state, with an aggressive sales and marketing team grossing sales of more than $18 million annually. Brian has organized investment groups which have successfully had double digit return year after year.

His success has continued to flourish along with his core competency of creating and executing successful projects with a dedicated team respected and praised by customers for their veracity. He believes reputation can dictate success; those who work with him attest to his personal integrity stamped on each project, from start to finish.

Justin Prins, Project Manager,

Development and Design

Justin Prins brings 10 years of experience in the construction / design industry. Graduating with a degree in Architectural Construction Engineering Technology, he has put his design expertise to work drawing many award-winning home and commercial building plans. His skills have been requested by clients looking for a unique, yet pragmatic design.

Prins was selected to provide the design plans for the home featured on ABC Television's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The design was praised by producers and Prins has since received many requests for similar designs. He has a keen eye for planning a structure that makes the best use of lot size and location, as well as creating phenomenal curb appeal.

Sue Trees, Broker

Sue Trees brings more than 13 years experience in real estate sales and marketing. She currently oversees real estate transactions and marketing of residential and commercial properties. Her favorite thing is to find the perfect new home for her buyers or get the best price possible for the sellers. She maintains listings on the Multiple Listing Service, which provides property overviews on a state-wide network. Sue is a member of the Professional Business Women Association, and Women in Networking. Also serving as Vice President of the Professional Real Estate Sales Association (PRESA), she assists in leading the region in the most up-to-date real estate locations and premier properties. Sue received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa.

Brandi Gruis, Director of Marketing

Brandi Gruis brings more than 15 years of experience in marketing in a variety of forums, including radio and TV, sports marketing, non-profit associations and finance. She has served as a Product Manager for Wells Fargo and was responsible for the development and launch of new products, as well as the product marketing on a national level. She previously worked in sports marketing with the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies and CU Buffs. At Envision Companies, she puts her background knowledge to use in website and collateral design, and product promotion.

She received her BA from Drake University; her MBA from The University of Sioux Falls, and her Ph.D. in Business Administration from Warren University.
